“So do it, decide. Is this the life you want to live? Is this the person you want to love? Is it the best you can be? Could you be stronger? Kinder? More compassionate? Decide. Breath in, breath out, and decide” Meredith Gray

I don’t ordinarily quote TV shows, but this one from Gray’s Anatomy (A show I’ve never actually seen) struck me today. We often think that everything just happens in our lives. We think that we just love someone and then fall out of love. We think that we are or aren’t compassionate or kind. We either are that type of person or we aren’t. The truth is we are making decisions consciously or unconsciously all the time, every minute of every day. We get to decide our actions. We get to decide who we want to be. And if we decide to act differently or be someone different, we can be someone different in a moment.

Breath in, breath out, and decide.
