It’s Thanksgiving day here in Canada. A day to think of all that we are grateful for, to consider the little things that we might not always think about that really change the feel of our lives. We often get caught up in the big things and forget the smaller ones, but they matter. I used to walk the same route to work every morning and there was a crossing guard who greeted everyone with a big smile and a few cheery words. I always felt good when I walked away from him. I think everyone did. It was just a few moments a day, but it mattered.
Some of the little things that I experience these days include my blogging community. Every time someone comments on or likes a post; every time I read someone else’s post that touches me; there’s a feeling that we know each other and care for each other even though we’ve never met. It’s a community feel. I want to thank each and every one of you for being part of my community and I wish you all a happy Canadian thanksgiving wherever you are!
