Don’t want to get the flu? Meditate!

Great information here from Morgan Anderson-Reed for avoiding the flu and other ailments.

This was an interesting article that I read this morning. It briefly discusses a randomized controlled study regarding the practice of mindful meditation and exercise and its’ effectiveness to prevent acute respitory infections (ARI’s) such as colds and the flu. Can you guess what the conclusion was? That’s right! More people within the study were less sick and called in fewer days from work among the group that practiced mindful meditation for 8 weeks.

This is an interesting conclusion and I’m sure more studies will be conducted after this to see if the same conclusions are drawn. Yet, it questions the power of the mind and moreso intention. How much of what we think, do we actually manifest in our bodies? Louise Hay, the popular inspirational and self-help author, firmly believes in this notion and I’m sure doesn’t need any studies to determine what she has been preaching and teaching…
